Miss Moola la, the brave and fearless cow from West Wales, hits the campaign trail with a target to raise 1 million and 1 pounds to help welsh women. With the National Health Service in Wales under intense financial pressure, and the needs of women in Wales, suffering from or recovering from cancer and mind related challenges; with drastic effects on their emotional and mental wellbeing, Nicki Page, Managing Director of Page 1 World a welsh based marketing communications organisation, Dr Kenneth Lim, Consultant Surgeon at Llandough Hospital, his medical team, and a team of volunteers, have set out to raise awareness and much needed funds.
Miss Moola la, a daring welsh cow from West Wales, inspired by the paintings of Julia Harris, and the artist in residence to Page 1 World, the Miss Moola la campaign has already committed our heroine to canvas. Working from a grass roots level up, funds will be directly distributed to those needing support based in Wales.
“We hope that by working with and through Miss Moola la, additional funding will be released by the Welsh Health Board to support with much needed emotional and psychologically trained staff to support women post surgery especially” said Page.

At the tender age of 15 I studied Dress and Design at Swansea College of Art, but I wish now that I had chosen Fine Art. I married early and have two children. I moved to mid Wales with my husband 15 years ago, and together we run Dolfan, a commercial catering business.
Three years ago I started to paint in earnest, and now divide my time betweeen the business and painting. Last year I exhibited at A-Frame in Brecon, at the Brecon Beacons National Parks Visitors Centre, and at In The Pink in Llanwrtyd. Next year I am exhibiting again at A-Frame, and also at the Elan Valley Visitors Centre (July to beginning of August).
Yr wyf yn arlunydd Gymraeg yn byw yng ngalon canolbarth Cymru. Mae ble rwyf yn byw yn anrheg. Mae’r mynydd Epynt yn rhoi golygfeydd gwych llawn lliwiau sy’n newid yn dyddiadol gyda llwyd dwfn y glaw i siafftiau aur o olau’r haul. Mae fy newis o gartref yn pwysig. Mae fy ysbrydoliaeth yn dod o bob peth o’n gwympas, y mynyddoed, y caeau, y coed, yr awyr ac wrth gwrs y gwartheg a defaid.
Fy es i Ngoleg Celf Abertawe yn 15 oed i astudio gwisg a dylunio. Yn edrych yn ol, ddylen i wedi cymrud radd celfydd gain yn hytrach na cwrs crefft, ond, yn ifanc ac wedi dylanwadu gan bobl fel Mary Quant penderfynnais ar y cwrs oedd yn amddangos yn fwy cyffrous ar y pryd.
Hyd at 2005 roedd fy mywyd yn brysur gyda bod yn mam i ddau plentyn ac gyda swydd llawn amser.
Ond, roedd yr awydd i peitio yna trwy pobeth. Unwauth naeth y plant hedfan y nyth nes i penderfynnu i ddilyn fy dymuniadau a naeth pennod newydd fy mhywyd dechrau.
I dechrau fy siwrnau newydd fy nes i mynd ar cwrs ‘Haniaeth’ (Abstraction) am 3 diwrnod, ac, yn bod yn hollol naif, nes i meddwl mae ddim ond dull arall bydden yn dysgu. Ond, ers dechrau fy siwrnau, rwyf wedi dysgu mae pob dull yn gofyn am agwedd wahanol, safbwynt wahanol ac yn bwysicaf byth, mae rhaid i cho gwerthfawrogi celf cyn ymgeisio ar dull newydd.
Roedd dechrau pennod newydd hyn yn fy mhywyd, fy naith o goleuedigaeth fel yr wyf yn ei galw, yn un o cyfnodau mwyaf pleserus o fy mywyd ac yn gam enfawr tuag bywyd fel arlunydd.
Mae fy ardull celf, a pynciau, yn amrywiol iawn. Rwyf wrth fy modd yn peintio’r ffurf dynol ac yn mwynhau archwiolio gwahanol gyfryngau i ddangos hyn. Rwyf hefyd yn cari lliw ac rwyn ceisio ddangos fy nwyd, a fynegi fy hyn, trwy’r lliwiau rwy’n defnyddio.
Fy hoff gyfrwng yw dyfrlliw. Mae dyfrlliw yn enwog am fod yn ur o’r gyfrangau mwy anodd i feistroli, ond, wrth ddefnyddio anrhagweladwy y gyfrwng rwy’n ceisio creu effeithiau cyffrous yn fy tirweddau gan adael lliwiau wahanol i ymddangos.
Peintio yw fy mhywyd. Os nad wyf yn peintio pob dydd rwy’n cael poen yn fy ngalon.
Wrth gwrs mae llawer o pobl yn fy nabod oherwydd fy lluniau ddoniol, y gwartheg odd ar ysgyfarnogod golosg.
Ond, mae llawer mwy i mi nag mae rhan fwyaf o pobl yn sylweddoli ac rwy’n gobeithio a bydd y gwaith rydych yn ei weld heddiw yn rhoi mewnwelediad i ochr arall o mi.
